a Funeral

Just a quick sketch I drew. Just starting to get back into drawing.
a Funeral

death in casual passing
to mourn the trespassing

feel the tears form in eyes
retain forlorn goodbyes

wish back love lost past
gather not but flowers harassed

will seeping through bone
growing so old and alone

vision fades to naught
lying in a tomb of distraught

I have been writing poetry for the last 13 years. It all started as an assignment for a creative writing course. I never thought I would like writing, as I am dyslexic and language was always a struggle for me, but I fell in love with the art form in that class.
