WORDS

WORDS

from fonts imbued
lavender fumes
carries across
into windows lacking frost
heat radiates past flocks
words written
prepared ignite
burning in the summers light

whispers flicker
from lips lost
in an echos ghost

wisps of flowers hang
above heads
kindles frosted
in hundred Fahrenheit

eyes flicker in lines
bolded to block
reading fine
gold beyond windows
paling sights
red bright

words
a written song
commemorate
all that unsung.

Remembering the Stars

Remembering the Stars

wooden deck railing, stained then worn
standing alongside, staring towards
a sky lit by magic, a wall of little stars

waves wash at shores, below decking
crabs must pick at all those loose shoes
set aside to wash, mud covered lost

lake wind breathes rustle hairs
inhaled deep into, eyes tear too

time behind unending,
long days pass in blur
walking past the docks
one last look at the rocks

now the breeze has died
rentals blind the retina
and world seems so grey

on the way
so far away

remembering the stars
and the way they like to play.

Written Past 7

Written Past 7

dim lit room at 2
nearly black, but creeping
upon with malice
rays lit through
the blinds

founds, the idea
maddening signs
act quickly or
lines will be drawn
then immediately
crossed

in love's blindfold
finding missing
void in heart
yet a tempo drives
a beat of craze

swearing that cannot
wait past this minute
to portray a beating heart
dying as it bleeds over
an outstretched arm
