Crimson Bathes Violet

Crimson Bathes Violet

dark water bubbling to a froth
violet light peeks through
from down below

a canopy rings the open pool
life void here, this spot
what devilry exists.

emerged slowly from under
a haze of froth and light
purple halo crowned.

a figure risen, steps upon waters
so suddenly the torrent stops
the shore, there they stop.

women clad in purple cries
venom unfurled, to me hurled
toxic or divine.

choking for breath
lies cover my eyes
is this mine.

succumb to a black void
where she sings out
longing for my heart.

so she may rip it out
crimson bathes violet
an ordeal most violent.

I have been writing poetry for the last 13 years. It all started as an assignment for a creative writing course. I never thought I would like writing, as I am dyslexic and language was always a struggle for me, but I fell in love with the art form in that class.
