Winds and Windows

Winds and Windows

evaporated sting, hangs mid air
effervescent of lilac, and stone
ground petal into dust, clouds of rust
falling in winds, in airs of lust
twinkle of light off a window pane
see beyond into the pain
held the sour stale, bare
words to caress, flowing hair
twists come from above
stars falling in a lace
inhale once, twice to remember
how the air laid bare
a soul's stare.

I have been writing poetry for the last 13 years. It all started as an assignment for a creative writing course. I never thought I would like writing, as I am dyslexic and language was always a struggle for me, but I fell in love with the art form in that class.
