dug hole in my head, out from pours time

dug hole in my head
out from pours time
lost steel monsters
marching down the
streets paved souls

breath caught on tips
watching those lips
drawn on lines
embraced minds

worlds shrunken falls
water slowly draining
heads wading, thru
waters locked, fraught
gold plated boats
that never float

in mines of ore
in there your
mind is numb
try not to look dumb

am I rambling
gone on too long
seconds ticking
hours yawn
as days fade
memory wanes
time has gone

I have been writing poetry for the last 13 years. It all started as an assignment for a creative writing course. I never thought I would like writing, as I am dyslexic and language was always a struggle for me, but I fell in love with the art form in that class.
