Chilled Autumn Eve

Chilled Autumn Eve

lost in space, or a bench at a park
my mind once a swirl, now just as dry as these leaves
scattered about, shades amber and brown
i could just drown, in this sea of a park
trees bare branch, stripped of all
naked, as the wind caresses us
chills carry down the timbers,
but i feel yet not, still fraught
with a lack, that no chilled autumn eve,
could ever hack.

Beyond the Mirror

Beyond the Mirror

mimic, himself in the mirror
perfect reflection of self-healed
beyond gaze, a man crumbles
disease rotting from within
worn strands of hands
grasp for help, but only shake
with a smile, but it is fake
the man is riddle with decay
hiding his decline only to protect,
the target, is not to be known.

Sol

Sol

Can the Sun’s rays,
bring down the days
counted from the last
until the very brave

come forth to claim
that the days were never slain
by the very gleam
carried before the rain

lost in weeks of reflection
those days of inner connection
brought on by the Sun
or turmoiled by the winds

moved by the thought
that these reflections brought
raised to boom away the winds
in hopes they sweep away my sins

the moon grows cold
late autumn world
my sun is gone away
but my stars are here to stay.

The Crunch of Leaves Under Foot

The Crunch of Leaves Under Foot

leaves dancing in the tumbles of the breeze
decay falling down, to the ground, so brown
my mind filled, thoughts scattered and worn
this body torn by stress, no time to decompress

a black silhouette mourns down the cobbled path
leaves on the left, death on the right, time behind
soft footfall leaves crunched leaves under heel
how can a man feel when the world is dying

Doom & Destiny

Doom & Destiny

Shade befallen vale
There I dwell
Where I fail
To put to quill
Such things as I will

Seeing spiders crawl
On the walls,
In the corners of my eye

Creak of bones
Hidden in my walls
Banging,
Begging to be released

Of this world I saw a fall
On an autumn wind
I forsee destruction

As words seem to fail me
I find myself unveiled to thee
Can you see through my walls
Are my shields transparent
Am I that aberrant
Doomed to lie in decay
Destined to die in dismay

A Tune of Autumn

A Tune of Autumn

Heather on my lips
Needles in my eyes
A wisp smoke on the eve
Before it all burnt down

Daydreamt dragons
In a lair exquisite
I pilfer one piece
But only leave
A little toasted

Silver melody bellows,
Carries through the wind
Past my ear as I wallow
Bunkered under a willow

A tune of autumn
Of the end of seasons
Yet the beginning of others

Dying of the Leaves

Dying of the Leaves

Swinging with the breeze
The dying of the leaves
Brings with them a dim glee

Dancing around the trees
Chanting, We will not go

Falling down in piles
Death grips thee

Bury all those surrendered
Pits into a mound
Bury them in the ground

Flames in the air
Licking the trees
Orange, Yellow, Red

Watch them from a slumber
Dreary eyed night

The dead watch the dying
Fall from high up in the sky

Covered in leaves
Rot on the breeze
Such heavy fees
