Feathers of a Bird, Scales of a Lizard

Feathers of a Bird, Scales of a Lizard

In mountains of black smoke
I dwell in the back of minds
I wonder alone in the streets
At night I look to take you
To make into an image of divine.

Wine drunken by the goblet
Shepherds herd the herd
I ponder the meaning of
My soul
No more madness
Now is a time for gladness
As we soak ourselves in snow

Glowing eels in the river
Watch them go by, fly by, in the air
Why? Am I a monster who attacks
The feathers of a bird, the scales of lizard
If there is no protection from me
Then who am I to be me?
